Objectives of the project :

The Port Authorities of Antwerp wanted to redesigned a development strategy related to container traffic. It asked CTS to help understanding the call strategies of shipping lines and to analyze Antwerp positioning compared to Rotterdam and Zeebrugge. On the basis of this analysis, CTS built a business plan

Activities performed by CTS :

CTS assisted the port of Antwerp in understanding call strategies of shipping lines. The jobs of CTS were focus on the next points :
- Analysis of the call pattern strategies of shipping lines and their impacts on the Port of Antwerp strategy in the northern range : reconstruction of the characteristics of ports and costs (slot, call charges, pilotage, towage, mooring , Handling, ...)
